景清倜傥尚大节，领乡荐①，游国学。时同舍生有秘书，清求而不与。固请，约明日还书。生旦往索。曰：“吾不知何书，亦未假书于汝。”生忿，讼于祭酒。清即持所假书，往见，曰：“此清灯窗所业书。”即诵辄卷。祭酒问生，生不能诵一词。祭酒②叱生退。清出，即以书还生，曰：“吾以子珍秘太甚，特以此相戏耳。”
