古村的雨

  这样的村庄,已经不多了。它们的日渐消失,几乎必然。无论人们再怎样刻意保护,还是敌不过时间的力量。当然,古老的村庄现在在江、浙、皖还有几座,但是它与周围的一切显然已失去了时代的联系。它的存在,只有一种标本的意味。它陈列在那儿,每一块砖瓦,每一块石头,甚至每一棵树,都表达了某种静止和停滞的含义。

  沿着兰江南行,不久就可以到达郭洞村。村庄周围有石头垒成的围墙,出入村庄需要通过一道石门,这是村庄设置的关隘,不仅说明村庄在过去为了安全而壁垒森严,而且说明村庄封闭式的生活特性。村庄与外界的关联是隐藏的,采用一种不敞开的保守姿态,过着自足的生活。掩藏村庄的还有围墙外繁茂的树木。这些树木中不乏千年以上的樟、槐、榆、松,它们对村庄长年累月的遮蔽,使村庄更加隐秘在一种古老氛围之中。这是某种具有审美性和理想的乌托邦式的遮蔽,它让我们想起当年的武陵桃花源。古木环合,泉水夹带着野花流过去,只有一道小小的门与外面世界交通,这不是“桃花源”的范式吗?难怪这个村庄又叫做郭洞村,所谓“洞在青溪何处边”,外面的人要想走进村庄,莫非亦要打探哪儿才有幽密的通道?

  不过,我们走进村庄毫无困难,而村庄的情形也并不像桃花源。它里面是一群精心修筑的明、清风格的民居,大多白墙青瓦。高高笔直的风火墙,连成一片,隔断了村庄上面的天空,下面则是狭窄的巷道,巷道连接了村庄每一座门户。由于这些门户总是长久关闭着,巷道便空虚而冷寂,因此在村庄我们能够看到“屋舍俨然”,却不能看到“黄发垂髫并怡然自乐”的生活情景。人们囿居在高墙和重门后面,这样一来,村庄无疑增加了更多的私密性质。于是,我们只好将眼光流连在村庄的外表形式上。我们的手指指着白墙上面各种形状的漏窗,还有镶嵌在一座座门楼上的砖雕,以及无数的镂花木刻,我们完全明白了,所有这些无一不是通过能工巧匠的机杼之心,在乡民们封闭幽深的心情和趣味态度外面装饰了一层“艺术”。从而借了这精致典雅的形式,来蕴藉他们自己紧闭的生活理想。也许,我们就这样不经意地走进了村庄的本质。

  实际上,自从这里成为外来者观看之地,村庄的功能就日渐萎缩了,它不再具有生活价值,而成为观赏对象。似乎这一二百年的精雕细作,全为了今天观看和欣赏的需要。甚至连村庄自身也愿意将村庄当作一件古旧的艺术品,连同隐藏在它背后的心情和趣味态度,一起博得一种叫做“文化”的评价和青睐。因此,它不会主动拒绝外来者的进入,这不仅说明它与“桃花源”不好相比,而且也与它那幽闭的本质产生了矛盾。因此,我们最后将看到,人在这样的村庄中,已不像往昔那样被隐藏,而是退出了村庄之外。没有气息,没有生活表情,没有人的日常活动,村庄就蜕变成空壳和废墟。这时候,村庄正好以“文化”的名义,命名为“原始生态村”。外来者为了一种“文化”而来,他们长驱直入,到处探头探脑,然后带着餍足的心情,回到现代世界中打几个文化饱嗝。

  只有那个春天的早晨,村庄上空,开始飘落微雨,通往村庄的石子路上,一位穿蓑衣戴箬笠的老农民,牵扯了他惟一的那条耕牛走向村外时,身后留下了一串湿漉漉的蹄声,村庄才真实得让我们多一点感动。
