  一天,我看见蜘蛛在大榆树的两根树枝间织了一张如脸盘大小的网。它像大王一样,独坐中央,静悄悄地等待着飞虫上门。

  忽然,刮起了大风,仿佛发怒的公牛在吼叫,吹得树枝晃来晃去。蜘蛛网被树枝捅破了。我发现蜘蛛在一旁默默地看着。风渐渐停了,蜘蛛迅速地爬到剩下的半张网上,小心翼翼地修补。它往来在两根树枝之间像荡秋千一样,牵出一条条晶亮的丝。蜘蛛先织纵的,再织横的,从内到外一道道,一圈圈,好似一个巧手姑娘在绣花。最后织成了一张八角风筝似的“八卦阵”,像铁丝笊篱,在阳光下闪着晶亮的光。

  可是,第二天乌云密布,电闪雷鸣,下起了倾盆大雨,把蜘蛛费了九牛二虎之力才织好的网弄得一点儿也不剩了。

  雨停了。我又看见蜘蛛爬了出来,它从高树枝上慢悠悠地吊下来,然后在半空停住,开始织网。别看蜘蛛又笨又丑,当它沿着一根细长柔软的丝爬行时,恐怕比杂技演员走钢丝还灵巧。它把网织好后,还在网上的边缘加了几条较粗的丝,看来它要织一张不怕风雨的网呢。
