口哨

       ①大雨如注。坐上三轮车时,我的心情灰暗到极点。

       ②那时我刚到这个陌生的城市工作,每到傍晚时,就被想家的孤独感重重包围。那天工作上不顺心,又受到上司批评责难,我饿着肚子拖着疲惫的双腿,想到又要回到狭隘的租房中过夜,真想找个地方大哭一场。 

       ③猛烈的暴风雨,让城市的面容模糊起来,道傍树叶不时被卷到街面。三轮车夫是个中年男子,弯着腰,逆风踩踏着车子。风雨斜向袭来,他穿着一双旧解放鞋,那鞋和半截裤子已经湿尽了,不停往下淌水。我抱臂缩在座位一角,抑制不住地瑟瑟发抖。

       ④拐进一条胡同,路上不时有水坑,三轮车小心地避绕着。风雨因建筑的遮挡,稍稍减弱一些。忽然,我听到一串鸟鸣,我一时竟怀疑是自己的错觉,然而又有几声,是清脆而清晰的、婉转的鸣叫!

       ⑤我探出头,侧耳细听,想判断那鸣声来自何处。好一会儿,那叫声停止了,在我准备放弃时,那清脆的声音再次传来,而且我听出就来自前方。这一次的声音,竟是另一种鸟的鸣叫,好听,却无法形容出来。我往前看了看,除了乌蒙蒙的天空和低矮的屋檐,前面什么也看不到。我想,兴许是谁家养的鸟呢。 ⑥接着又是一串啁啁啾啾的声音,细碎繁复,那样动听。我终于忍不住,向前问道:“师傅,你听到鸟叫声吗?”那车夫头也没回,说:“没有哇。”我觉得奇怪,明明听到很多鸟鸣啊。

      ⑦车子拐到一个上坡,许多砖块垫在昏黄的水坑中。车夫把身子弯成龚,奋力地蹬着,直到终于上不去,他跳下车,踩进水中,拉着车子前进。我要下车行走,被他拒绝了。

      ⑧到了平坦些的路面上,风雨终于小了许多。这一回,我真切地听到了鸟鸣,来自不远的地方。我问车夫:“是你车上有鸟在叫吗?”车夫转过头来,汗水和雨水把他的头发弄得湿漉漉的,他在笑,终于说:“是我的口哨!”

       ⑨我大奇。一路上,我们聊天,才知道,这车夫还真有一嘴的绝活,能吹出几十种动物的声音来!问到他家的情况,他才说道,夫妻俩下岗十多年了,孩子正上高中,明年高考,一家就靠自己踩三轮车挣钱。说到孩子,他高兴起来:“成绩不错呢,我叫他好好学,考个好大学,我日夜踩三轮车给他攒学费也愿意。”我说,你口哨吹得这样好, 可以到路边摆摊卖钱呢!车夫回头笑着说:“那可不行,这是高雅玩艺儿,不能糟蹋了。”

       ⑩快到住处的一段路,柳条依依,风雨已停住,近晚的天气反倒有些亮起来,空气里有一种绿意的清新。我心情如天空一样渐开,久久没有说话,细心聆听一串接一串动听的鸟鸣。

       下车的时候,我多给他10元钱,他不收。我说:“你的口哨真好听,谢谢你。”他说:“你要是真喜欢,当我免费赠送的礼物。”他踏车远去时,我记住了他的车牌号码0101。

       在这个城市,也许你也遇见过这个吹口哨的三轮车夫。第三年了,我在这个城市深深扎根,每当我看见三轮车,就心生一种亲切的温暖,是一个信念给了我努力生存的勇气;不管风雨有多大,没什么可以封挡你的口哨。
