than those in Shanghai. But there are more rivers in and around Shanghai. The Huangpu River is much wider

than Yongding River.

     In summer, Beijing is not as hot as (不如......热) in Shanghai, but it is colder in winter. Spring in Shanghai

is longer and it is nicer. There is not so much wind. Autumn is the best season in Beijing. It is cooler in autumn

in Beijing than in Shanghai and there is less (更少的) rain.

     Beijing is the capital of our country. It is a very old city, and it is new, too. Shanghai and Beijing are two of

the most important cities in our country.
